Intermediate Level Emergency Manager (ILEM)
The Intermediate Level certification is a mid-level certification for emergency managers. Those who earn it are entitled to use the ILEM designation.
All Intermediate requirements are in addition to the Basic Level requirements.

Beginning January 1, 2026, these courses are the required core training. They strengthen an emergency manager’s foundation of knowledge while aligning future directors with the Alabama CLEM requirements.
