Programs
Professional certification
AAEM offers professional certification at the Basic, Intermediate, Advanced, and Master level. Certification is available to any emergency management practitioner in the United States who meets the criteria for one of the four levels. Applications are now submitted online.
CLEM certification
The Certified Local Emergency Manager (CLEM) program was designed to create standards and promote professionalism for local emergency management directors in the State of Alabama. It is administered by the Alabama Emergency Management Agency.
Become a member
AAEM welcomes emergency managers and allied professionals who support emergency management, including those working in healthcare and education. Membership is open to EMA personnel as well as those in other public safety organizations.
